Ready for RSD. Jaws of Love is the solo side project of Local Natives’ Kelcey Ayer. After releasing his debut record, Tasha Sits Close to the Piano back in 2017, he’s been focusing on Local Natives’ 4th studio record. Not wanting to completely abandon the project however, he’s decided to unveil two brand new songs for this upcoming Record Store Day as a double A-side single. Michael & Me is the story of two friends who meet for a weekend in New York City, creating a loving memory that will forever outlast the eventual fading of their friendship. Giving Up Is Not The Easiest Way Out finds a generous narrator trying his best to help someone through a difficult time. Both songs highlight what Jaws of Love does best, finding growth in pain through the melding of his voice and the piano.
