Eric Winstone was a British born band leader, composer and arranger.
Eric Winstone played piano in his spare time from a job at the Westminster Gas and Coke Company in London, which led him to form his first band in 1935.He learned the accordion, started an accordion school and formed an accordion quintet, a swing quintet, and a big band orchestra in the style of Glenn Miller. During World War II his orchestra entertained the forces, and performed at holiday camps after the war. In 1955 a CinemaScope short of The Eric Winstone Band show was made. He was quoted in 1955 as saying that "With the exception of money, length of working hours, living and working conditions, the price of beer, and the opposite sex, a musician is completely unconcerned about the material things of life".
