He was a member of St Anne's Bay marching band and also perfomed as a singer/DJ on various sound systems in the area. But it was his love of roots and culture that lead him to Rasafari and was known as Moniker Mel-Chezidek, but he later dropped the Mel and now uses Chezidek.
