Channel 3, hailing from an outlying L.A. bedroom community, was a pioneering member of this scene of disillusioned teens who found music was the only viable alternative to hanging out in front of the local mini mart. Somehow, between backyard keg parties, their demo made it to the legendary Posh Boy label, and the band soon released their first full length LP, 1982's "Fear Of Life." The album became an immediate classic and was picked up by England's No Future label and released in the U.K. with the more incendiary title of "I've Got A Gun."
