Moh Alileche follows his "Tragedy" album with this new CD of traditional Amazigh (Berber) songs of North Africa, including original compositions and one remake of an Algerian classic. Some of the nine new songs were recorded in Algeria by well known musicians, such as violinist Mokhtar Boudjlida as well as the San Francisco-based quanun player Mimi Spencer. Instrumentation includes mondol, banjo, guitar, bass, violin, quanun, American Indian flutes, North African ney and bamboo flutes, percussion, and chanting voices (Ululations).
